We appreciate the interest that you have shown in our Shaker and Early American Clocks.
McGuire Family’s Vermont Clock Company, is a small family owned and operated company, striving to provide it's customers
with the finest handmade clocks of unequaled quality and value.
Our interest in furniture making began in the early 1970's with a small workshop and showroom
in Centerville, Ohio. After 6 years, a desire to develop our skills and expand our knowledge of fine furniture led us to New England where we chose Vermont, for its beauty and rural nature, to raise our three children. Since the beginning our children were an integral part of our business activities and from an early age developed interests that closely parallel ours. Upon Meghan's graduation from college in 1989, the beginnings of Vermont Clock Company was formulated, and three months prior to Michael's college graduation in 1991, production began. Our children have recently moved on to other pursuits. Meghan and her husband have moved to Texas and Michael has started his own furniture endeavor. Linda and I (Jack) continue to do what we love, make heirloom quality clocks and furniture, if you enjoy what keeps you young, why stop.
Isle La Motte Vermont, a historic Island in Lake Champlain, fifty minutes north of Burlington,
Vermont, and fifty minutes south of Montreal, Quebec, is home to our workshop and showroom.
We are currently turning a 19th century tobacco barn inTennessee into our future home and shop.
Traditional mechanical clocks recall our heritage and have found renewed interest in this
digital age. Our clocks have found homes in most of the 50 states, in Europe and Australia.
